FAQs

I’ve never had a massage before. How does it usually go?

First I will send you a consultation form to complete online prior to your arrival.

When you arrive I will answer any questions you have and discuss any medical conditions, injuries etc that you may have, to make sure I am clear on what I can and can’t do.

I will leave the room while you undress to underwear and get yourself comfortably onto the massage couch. I will always check before I reenter the room.

I will straighten the sheet to make sure you are warm and comfortable and will begin your massage.

Once I have worked on the back of your body I will get you to turn over. I will raise one side of the sheet to make this easier for you.

When your massage is finished I will gently let you know and leave you to get redressed. Once again I will not reenter the room without checking you are ready.

What does Cupping Therapy do and will it give me bruises?

Cupping Therapy is an effective way to relieve muscle tension and joint pain as well as encouraging faster muscle recovery by encouraging blood flow and promoting localised healing.

The cups are left in place for up to 20 minutes depending on the area and tissue dysfunction. The marks left by the cups are not bruises and aren’t tender to the touch. They will begin to fade after a day or 2.

Can I change some of the elements in the shorter massages?

Yes, of course. I am happy to cater as much as I can to what you need.

e.g in a 30 minute massage I can do back, neck and arms instead of back, neck and head.

What are your Covid-19 precautions?

At the door I have anti-bacterial gel and temperature checks for every customer. I require customers to wear a mask when walking to and from the treatment room.

The massage couch has a cover which allows for easy and thorough cleaning. All surfaces are sprayed and cleaned between every client.

I also wear a mask during all treatments.

How would you prefer me to pay?

You can pay with either cash or card.

I have a card reader so can accept contactless payment as well as apple and google pay.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! I offer 15% off all treatments for all NHS and teaching staff.

All new clients have 10% off their first 60 minute massage.

Do you do gift cards?

Yes I have gift cards available. I can send a link to pay online and post the card to you (price will also include small postage fee) or you can collect it in person.

What are your Qualifications?

I trained at the Wilbury School of Massage for my ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Massage. I then returned for their Deep Tissue course and also attended the School of Natural Therapies to train in Pregnancy and Post Natal Massage.

Are you Insured?

Yes. I am a member of the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapies) and I am fully insured through them.

Do you massage men?

Of course. All are welcome.
